Treks and biking trails that come across the most evocative animals and plants throughout a series of lookout points and paths within the Bosque Guardián conservation area and beyond.
- The first part of the route borders Bosque Guardián and then goes up by one of its creeks. There, you may observe birds, frogs, and snakes, depending on the time of the day and if you’re accompanied by a guide. You’ll definitely enjoy the soothing sound of its waters and appreciate fascinating views.
- When you reach the Caracol area, you’ll rest and refresh yourself while gazing at Cordillera Escalera’s stunning landscapes. After that, the route continues through the rainforest to look for the Guardian Trees.
- The Guardian Trees are two of the most significant specimens in Bosque Guardián’s forest due to their massive dimensions: these reflect the project’s environmental conservation goals.
- The Umarí Forest is the perfect spot for small mammals, such as pacas and agoutis, which feed from this Amazonian tree’s fruit. With a bit of patience, you will find one of these specimens in action.
- These natural pools surrounded by small waterfalls are ideal for a final rest. There, you may take a dive, unwind, and enjoy the scenery before returning to the Bosque Guardián lodge area.
