Bosque de Protección

The Amazon is also nurtured

Understanding the forest is fundamental to regenerate it: we walk through it and identify its species —the oldest trees and the most common ones—, the creatures that inhabit it and the waterways that multiply life.

We gather information: inventories, camera traps, extended treks, and bibliographical research. We are expanding our knowledge on the Andean Amazon through scientific residencies.

Moreover, we have created a forest nursery to recover degraded areas within the Bosque Guardián conservation project. And, because everything is related, what we do positively affects the Cordillera Escalera regional park.

We encourage agroforestry and botanical gardening with ornamental plants, fruit species and natural medicine. And recreate the forest based on the research carried out by our forestry engineers who develop detailed plans that prepare plants and soils for a life in the Upper Amazon.

But, we’re merely a fragment of the forest’s agents of conservation. Its true guardians are those immemorial trees, lianas, shrubs, ferns and all of those interrelated elements that sustain life.
